What brushes to buy, how often to comb and what to do during spring shedding.
The Golden Retriever's coat has a dense undercoat that sheds twice a year. Regular brushing means less hair in the home and healthier skin.
Brushes
Two are enough: a poodle brush for everyday brushing and a wide-toothed comb for the undercoat.
How often
Twice a week for most of the year and daily during shedding season. Start with the tail and hind legs, where the fur mats most quickly.
